 Announcement...

It is with regret that EZRA have to announce the premature retirement of one of thier founder members and lead singer, Fiona. This is due to an ongoing issue with her hearing, which for some time now has been affected by her playing in the band.

Those of you who know the band will have noticed her absence over the last wee while, this was whilst awaiting the results of the tests done on her hearing. Unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with Tinnitus, for which there is no cure, and has now permanently damaged her hearing.

The remaining members of EZRA would like to give their appreciation and thanks to Fiona for sharing with us her fantastic vocal talent, and also, the contribution she has made since she started the band with Edwin in 1991. Truly irreplacable, and the end of an era for one of the great female singers to come from the north of Scotland.

Fiona would also like to thank, all the people over the years, who she has played with in the other bands she has been in, and also the people she met at gigs all around the country, many of whom have become good friends over the years.

Losing someone of Fiona's calibre is difficult for any band, but the remaining members of EZRA are determined to carry on, and if you stay tuned, there may be more announcements soon regarding an addition to the line-up and the proposed new direction of the band..............watch this space!!!!
